Sunday morning celebration
9 & 10:30 a.m.
in the Worship Center
Transformational worship that makes use of various media and relevant messages that meets us all right where we are.
At Gun Lake Community Church, worship has two main purposes. First, we gather together, to bless and adore our Creator God, Jesus the Christ, to give Him praise and honor, and to "raise Him up from the earth" ("If I am raised up from the earth, I will draw all people to me." - John 12:32). Secondly, we gather together to experience God's power and wonder, His majesty and sovereignty, and His love, mercy and His compassion. Scripture says, "in His presence you will find fullness of joy, with pleasures forevermore." - Psalm 16:11 (NKJV)
Gun Lake Community Church is a contemporary church where the best of today's modern music is used to draw people into His presence, and to reach into the community. It is our intention to relate to people today by using the sounds of today for the purpose of building the Kingdom of God as effectively and as efficiently as possible.
We believe that sin is the only thing in life that separates us from a deep relationship with Him. We believe this because God is perfect, without blemish, and complete in purity, and that God simply cannot exist in a place that has not been prepared for Him.
Scripture encourages us to "Delight ourselves in Him, and He will give us the desires of our hearts." - Psalm 37:4. It also says to "test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it." - Malachi 3:10. (this is not only an encouragement related to tithes and offerings, but applies to many levels of our spiritual walks.)
Our Worship Team Ministry is currently studying from the book of Ephesians 3: 17-19. "that we being rooted and established in love may grasp how wide, long, high and deep is the love of Christ, and TO KNOW THIS LOVE that SURPASSES KNOWLEDGE, that we may be filled to the measures of all the fullness of God". For us TO KNOW this love that SURPASSES KNOWLEDGE, implies and requires that we be willing to experience Him beyond teaching and sermons, to experience and receive His love that He is waiting to pour out.
